I love serving God at Grace! Teaching God’s Word is my greatest joy in ministry. I am so blessed to work alongside a great team of staff and elders.
Laurie and I both came from missionary homes. Her parents served in Colombia and mine were in Mexico. We've been married for 25 years and absolutely love Flagstaff and our church family. On our day off you may find us hiking a favorite trail with the labs running ahead or at one of several favorite places for breakfast just catching up.
I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. Nicole and I have been married for 17 years and we have 3 beautiful children Hannah, Nicholas and Tyler. I spent the last 8 years working as a Youth Pastor in Chattanooga. I soon felt the call of God into music as a profession. Music has always been a passion of mine. I started singing in the Chattanooga Boys Choir at the age of 9. I carried on my musical interest all throughout my middle school, high school, and college education.
I have been at Grace Community Church for 4 years now. I am so grateful that God allows me to use my talents to glorify Him. We have an amazing and dedicated worship team that I get the pleasure of working with each week. You don’t want to miss next Sunday!
My family and I moved to Flagstaff from Apple Valley, CA (read stinky desert) in 2001. I started attending Grace in 2003 when Pastor Bob started GSM and I’ve never left. I became an intern with GSM in 2009 and on January 1st, 2012 I became the Director of Student Ministries (Middle School and High School) and have loved every second of it.
The best day of my life was January 7th, 2012 when my beautiful wife, Makensie, and I said “I do”. She is the best friend, companion, supporter, ministry partner, person, and wife that I could ever ask for. I thank God every day that she chose me!
My biggest passion in life is to see students come to Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and become devoted disciple-makers. I also get to work alongside the best youth ministry team God has ever assembled! I love my “job”.
I am excited to be a part of the Grace team and am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord. I was born and raised here in Flagstaff, AZ. I met my wife, Melissa, while she was attending Northern Arizona University and I was in my first year of teaching middle school. We were married in 2001 and sought out a church we could attend together. God led us to Grace and it has been our church home ever since. We now have two kids and love living in Flagstaff.
I taught history in the Flagstaff public schools for 17 years and completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I was pursuing roles in educational administration when God opened a door for me to serve at Grace Community Church. I am very humbled that God could use me in this way and am excited to serve Him and the church.
I am excited to serve God as Children's Ministry Director at Grace. My passion is to give children of all ages the opportunity to hear about Jesus and put their hearing into action.
Mark and I have been in Flagstaff over 35 years--since coming to NAU for college. Our two boys live here in Flagstaff and our daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren live in Mesa. We love the mountains and snow as well as the beautiful summers here in the "high country."
I’ve lived in Flagstaff for twelve years and I have attended Grace for over eight years. Through the years I have had the opportunity to serve in various areas of the church and absolutely love the community I’ve had the privilege of being a part of. I am currently working on a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Services-Counseling and also enjoy serving as a small group leader for Grace Student Ministries.
I am blessed to have a job that doesn’t feel like a “job” — I get to work with an amazing team and serve the people of Grace and the Flagstaff community. I am thankful to call this church my home and be a part of what God is doing through Grace Community!
